A Happy Kalanchoe!

The drainage pebbles came in a timely fashion. They are more of a green than those pictured. They look perfect for the job of preventing soggy soil and rot root. Plus they are sterile and cannot add bacteria or other organisms to the potting medium. They seemed a good match for my tiny Kalanchoe a friend gave me 2 years ago.
I’ve never had success with Kalanchoe before. They seem fine at first but then succumb to root rot. This plant came in a tiny pot inside its decorative turkey pot. With so little space it was about impossible to overwater. So with that and my tendency to ignore it, the little plant thrived. Lately it has grown taller and a bigger pot seemed in order. Now my Kalanchoe is in a new home with more room to grow and drainage pebbles to prevent soggy feet!
the white cup measure is to convey actual size.
