This organic, fair trade coffee comes to us from the APROCAFE cooperative in the mountains of Bolivia. The coop is dedicated to ecological coffee production and reforestation. Look for notes of Gala apple, milk chocolate, and macadamia nut in a cup that has rounded sweetness and medium acidity. Take the plunge and, with each sip, find yourself enveloped in a luxurious, complex flavor.

This organic, fair trade coffee comes to us from the Caranavi Province in the western highlands of Bolivia. It was produced by the APROCAFE cooperative, a group of 35 small family specialty coffee farms in the Carrasco La Reserva region.

APROCAFE has been dedicated to ecological coffee production since it was founded in 1999 and also encourages its members to reforest their farms. More recently, the coop has created a new agritourism project where visitors can tour the farms and even take part in some of the agricultural work, such as harvesting, pulping, drying, and more.

This coffee was hand picked and delivered to the APROCAFE center for processing. It was carefully sorted and only the highest quality cherries were accepted. The coffee was then machine pulped and placed in wooden trays for 12-15 hours for fermentation. Finally the coffee was washed, dried in the sun, and placed in clean sacks.
