The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society awarded the Dwarf Fothergilla with a Gold Medal Award. It loves full sun and is low maintenance. It is resistant to many kinds of pests and diseases. It is best grown in moist, acidic and well-drained soils. To get an optimum floral result, plant it in a spot that gets the most sunlight.
